Healing nutrition – restore your health naturally.
Nutrition is so vital to our wellbeing, it affects our health in many ways, from how we feel and our energy levels to our digestion, our ability to avoid disease, maintain muscle tone and strength, skin and nails integrity, physical development, mental health, and in so many other ways.
We all know a little about nutrition, but it’s such a large and complex field it’s hard to know in depth, and even harder to get straight answers about. Adding to the confusion are all the contradictions out there about what to eat and what not to eat; it’s hard to know what’s right for you.
Our food can be our medicine, though, and help to improve many conditions and health issues when it’s used holistically with expertise and focus.
Clinical Nutrition is a field of complementary medicine that uses a holistic approach to understand and address your health concerns. It works to regulate your body’s inbuilt ability to heal and regain your natural internal balance. With the right resources and support your body can restore you to the good health (or health goals) you’re looking for.
You can think of Clinical Nutrition as the tool that identifies and provides those missing nutritional pieces.

Fad diets and fast weight loss programs aren’t the answer, but there are reliable, safe approaches that can work for you.
Our bodies change as we age, making it harder to draw the nutrients we need from food and meet our nutritional needs.
Good nutrition can improve our mental health by feeding our brain the right nutrients.
Picky eating and few acceptable foods raise nourishment concerns, but you can get strategies to help.
Individualised guidance tailored to your sport and body composition may be the boost you need.

The two main passions here are understanding nutrition, and how to use it to restore your health to help you become as healthy and vital as you can be. Respect, empathy and understanding are core values at Glowing Health Nutrition, and this is evident in the care you experience when you choose to book in. Consultations are held on a private, one-to-one basis (or with a parent if under 16 years) taking the time to understand your health concerns and goals, in order to provide the right advice and guidance to move you towards them.
We want you to:
Nutrition is very personal because the way your body works is unique and specific to you, and your health issues and goals are unique and specific to you. That’s why you’re treated as an individual with a body that works distinctly your way, and why recommendations and guidance are tailored to your unique health needs and goals. Nutritional Therapy is used to address these requirements with prescriptions emphasising natural remedies that aim to produce holistic and lasting improvements that move you towards your goals of better health.
We aim to:
What does a Clinical Nutritionist do?
Being in a field of complementary medicine Clinical Nutritionists treat a range of health issues by applying holistic, natural remedies to enhance or regulate your body’s own natural healing abilities and tendency towards internal balance. They are well trained in clinical therapies and have a strong knowledge of nutritional principles and guidelines. Advice and guidance may also be provided on how food and nutrition impacts your health, body composition, sporting performance or achieving your health goals.
What is the difference between a Nutritionist, a Clinical Nutritionist and a Dietician?
A Nutritionist is trained on the fundamentals of nutritional science and is qualified to advise you on the impact of diet and lifestyle on your health goals in areas like healthy eating and weight loss within the bounds of published nutritional guidelines.
Clinical Nutritionists are qualified to assess health conditions and prescribe supplements, and dietary and lifestyle changes to improve those conditions, within the scope of complementary medicine practice. They can also provide guidance and education about nutrition, and recommend dietary and lifestyle changes to enhance your health to meet your health goals.
Dieticians are also qualified in nutritional science and clinical practice, but aren’t usually trained in prescribing supplements for treating health conditions. They are also educated in food service and conventional medical treatment, and often work in hospitals. Dietetics is regulated by law allowing them to treat pathological medical conditions.
How much does it cost to see a Clinical Nutritionist in Australia?
The overall cost of your nutritional treatment will depend on your health condition, specific needs and health goals. Currently, at Glowing Health Nutrition, initial consultations lasting 60 minutes are $180, and subsequent consultations lasting 30 – 40 minutes are $135, but depend on how much time is needed to review your progress and may be as low as $75.
What can a Clinical Nutritionist help with?
Clinical Nutritionists can improve many health conditions with natural, holistic remedies that work with your body’s natural processes and internal balance, within the scope of complementary medicine practice. They can also provide guidance and education on diet and lifestyle in areas including healthy eating, weight loss, sports preparation and recovery, disordered eating and special needs.
Do Clinical Nutritionists really help?
“Doctor as Teacher” is a central principle of holistic practice, and is one of the ways you learn to start managing your own health. As well as holistically improving your health issues and moving you towards your health goals, your Clinical Nutritionist helps you become more confident in managing your health and becoming more self-sufficient.
Nutritional advice and guidance provides knowledge of dietary principles and underlying processes that may be causing issues. With this new foundation of knowledge and confidence you can start to make real changes yourself with tweaks and adjustments to your diet and lifestyle.
