Nutrition is vital to our wellbeing, because it’s through proper, quality nutrition we naturally support the internal systems that maintain and repair our bodies. It’s how we provide ourselves with the building blocks for all the parts that make us function; the muscle, bones, organs, digestive fluids and chemical messengers, and gives us the energy to live. It makes sense then, that the better our nutrition is, the better all those parts of us can be. Conversely, if any part of us is not at its best, it may be we haven’t provided the best building blocks through our diet. It follows that giving ourselves the healthiest nutrition is how we can support our bodies build us and repair us the best, and how we can heal through nutrition.
The tool for that healing is Clinical Nutrition, a field of complementary medicine that uses diet, supplements and lifestyle modifications to bring positive change to your health and help move you towards achieving your health goals. The process is to assess and analyse your condition, consider what internal body systems are affected and how they are responding, what interactions may be occurring, develop effective treatments to improve your health issue, and explain it to you in a way that’s understandable.

Good nutrition is the foundation of good health and should be available to everyone; understandable, safe, effective and based on scientific evidence. Just as importantly, nutrition must be useable in the real world, not based on unrealistic ideals of a perfect diet. That’s why we believe it needs collaboration between us to tailor that ideal into something that will be real to you, and resonate with how you lead your life.
Establishing a base of healthy eating habits can often produce improvement in health conditions and is usually the first step in treatment – nutrition is the beginning of good health. This becomes the foundation for layering subsequent treatment such as supplementation and lifestyle changes, to generate comprehensive and effective remedies.
Support is another cornerstone here, whether that’s additional materials explaining remedies, follow up Q&A, understanding your background, cultural influences, disability needs or just staying with you until better habits consolidate, you’ve got a nutrition partner with Glowing Health Nutrition.
